Hello Backstamp Followers!
We're happy to be sharing our worldly adventures with you. Culture, design, art, people: life is happening on camera and behind the scenes.
I'd like to share some news from Bali West Imports' Grand Opening back in November 2010. Things kicked off with a bang with wonderful response to our website launch, plus a great post on Apartment Therapy.
I'd like to welcome you to post your feedback, experiences and suggestions anytime, all the time.
Cheers
Erin

The Backstamp
Until recently I was unaware of the Backstamp, or at least had only a vague notion of its presence. Then I did a project for some friends of ours in Bali, at Jenggala Keramik. That changed everything.
Now I habitually flip over plates, bowls, cups- you name it- wherever I go. While browsing markets and stores, this isn’t too noticeable. But in the context of sitting down at a dining table, either at a friends house or a restaurant, I usually stand out among the crowd. And yet, who wouldn’t want to know about the makers of the tableware you eat from?
The Backstamp began from here: an appropriate name for a blog which tells the story of how we got to where we are, and where we’ll be going from here. The “we” is daughter Erin, who runs our company, Bali West Imports, and our extended family and friends at Jenggala Keramik. Hope you find the posts interesting and that you visit often.
And be sure to share your experiences with us too. Selamat Datang.
Ted
